Euroasian Lynx

Lynx lynx

Elusive and rarely seen, the Eurasian Lynx is a skilled predator that stalks its prey using its camouflaged coat, exceptional hearing and soft-padded feet. It is mainly solitary and occupies large territories, which it defends against individuals of the same sex. By preying primarily on small and medium-sized ungulates, it helps maintain the balance of forest ecosystems.
