Agile and curious, the West African Dwarf Goat can confidently climb rocks, logs and steep surfaces thanks to its strong hooves and remarkable balance. It lives in social groups, where individuals communicate through vocalizations, body postures and scent. A highly adaptable herbivore, it feeds on grasses, leaves, shoots and twigs.
Native to Africa, it is now bred everywhere

The buck (the male goat) produces a mix of hormones to attract females, giving him his characteristic strong smell. The more intense the scent, the more successful he is likely to be with the females.
