Ring-tailed Lemur
Lemur catta
Easily recognised by its long black-and-white ringed tail, the ring-tailed lemur inhabits the dry forests and scrublands of southern Madagascar. It lives in large family groups, where females lead the group and make the key decisions. Today, habitat loss and increasing human pressures are placing growing pressure on wild populations.
