Taking part in ‘THEME DAYS’ is a fun way to learn about Nature and all its secrets.
Each month we have a theme and each Sunday a different event to play with and discover how to protect forests and seas.

April is the month of FORESTS

April is dedicated to forests from all around the world.
Every weekend, we will explore an unexpected aspect or a different forest!

The only exception will be Easter weekend, when eggs will take center stage in fun and curious stories!

Check the calendar, choose when to visit us, or get a GZP membership and come as often as you like!

Where and when

At the Park entrance you will find directions to the Park area where the event will be held and the time.

(In case of bad weather, the activity will be suspended)

All Theme Days are free for Park visitors to attend.

THE UNEXPECTED SOIL May 3-4

There’s more beneath your feet than you think! Soil is full of life, playing a crucial role in ecosystems and our daily lives.

Discover its hidden wonders and how to protect this precious resource through fun and engaging activities.

THE REVERSE THE RED DAY May 10-11

Forests exist both ABOVE and BELOW the water’s surface—the largest ones are submerged and incredibly valuable.

Discover their role and how easy it is to protect them with simple everyday actions. Activities will bring you closer to the beauty of trees—once you get to know them, you can’t help but fall in love!

Reverse the Red is a global movement that unites different actors committed to nature conservation, ensuring coordinated and cohesive actions for the survival of wildlife and ecosystems.

Invertebrates are the most numerous animals on Earth, yet they remain largely unknown—despite their crucial role in our lives. Let’s learn how to protect them and create a garden full of biodiversity!

MILLIPEDES, INSECTS & Co. – A Day with MIC is an awareness campaign by the Eduzoo group of UIZA, dedicated to Micael Bolognesi, a great entomologist and dear friend.

PENGUIN DAY

Play with us to learn to recognise penguins and discover their intriguing love stories.
If I want to protect them, what can I do? Let’s try to fish the right fish together!
Penguins are birds that are very good at… swimming! Come and discover all their secrets, we are waiting for you at Betty’s Bay, African Penguins area.
