We believe that experiencing nature should be accessible to everyone. That is why we are committed to making the Pistoia Zoological Garden increasingly accessible and inclusive every day.
The Zoo is located on a hilly site and includes some natural changes in elevation. To make the visit easier for people with reduced mobility, we recommend a route that provides access to most of the animal exhibits.
On the dedicated accessibility map, the recommended route is highlighted in green, while sections that require the assistance of a companion (10–11% gradient) are marked in orange. The remaining areas of the Zoo can only be reached via paths with gradients exceeding 12%.
All restroom facilities within the Zoo are accessible to visitors with disabilities and are therefore not shown separately on the map.
Parking
Accessible parking spaces are located in the upper section of the car park, close to the ticket office, providing easier access to the Zoo entrance.
Parking is free of charge and is available during the Zoo’s opening hours.

Individual admission
- Visitors with disabilities (disability rating below 100%): €11. Any accompanying person pays the full admission price. These tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office.
- Free admission for visitors with a 100% disability rating, plus one accompanying person.
In both cases, visitors must present appropriate documentation, such as an official disability certificate or equivalent documentation.
Admission for Associations
- Visitors with disabilities (disability rating below 100%): €11. One accompanying person is eligible for the reduced admission price (€14) These tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office.
- Free admission for visitors with a 100% disability rating, plus one accompanying person.
In both cases, visitors must present appropriate documentation, such as an official disability certificate or equivalent documentation.

Per i gruppi di persone con disabilità (associazioni, scuole) proponiamo attività dedicate progettate per offrire un’esperienza coinvolgente e accessibile.
