Asian Small-clawed Otter

Agile in the water and naturally curious, the Asian small-clawed otter inhabits rivers, wetlands and mangrove forests across Southeast Asia. It lives in close-knit family groups, communicating through a wide variety of vocal calls and cooperating in the search for food. Today, the degradation of aquatic habitats and the illegal wildlife trade supplying the exotic pet market are threatening wild populations.
