Tiger
Panthera tigris
From tropical rainforests to the cold taiga forests, the tiger inhabits a wide range of environments, provided they offer dense vegetation and abundant prey. It spends most of its life alone, roaming vast territories that it regularly marks and patrols. Habitat loss, poaching and the illegal trade in its body parts continue to be the greatest threats to the species.

The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) classifies living species according to criteria that take into account their level of threat of extinction: the Red List is an indispensable tool for coordinating nature conservation actions, a veritable barometer of the health of our Planet.

Not in the eyes of its prey, mostly deer and antelopes, which have dichromatic vision, meaning they see green where we see orange.
This is why tigers are able to hunt successfully despite their striking coat.
