Asian Forest Scorpion
Heterometrus spinifer
It lives on the floor of the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, where it spends the day hidden among leaf litter, fallen logs and roots. After sunset, it emerges to hunt small invertebrates, playing an important role in maintaining the balance of the forest ecosystem.
