Indian Peafowl

Pavo cristatus

The Indian Peafowl lives in small groups, and during the breeding season the male displays its spectacular train in an elaborate courtship display to attract females. It spends much of the day on the ground searching for seeds, fruits, insects and small animals, while at night it roosts in trees to stay safe from predators.

Lives in: native to India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Bred everywhere
